The last day of my twenties

Today was the last day of my twenties and it's been a fabulous one. Ten years ago I celebrated my twentieth birthday in the Bahamas where I was staying with my boyfriend at the time and his family. We spent the day on a small island called 'Harbour island' which was well known for its pink sand beaches. It was a great day and the perfect start to my twenties which saw even more travelling and beaches.

Today there was no beach in sight instead I found myself straddled to a quad bike driving through muddy puddles. It was fantastic! The reason I was doing this was due to it being my little sisters birthday last week (my parents did not plan that very well!) and she has always wanted to go quad biking. So there we were, 4 ladies, zooming (well maybe not zooming!) over the beautiful South Downs. It was amazing and was made even more fun but the amount of mud around. By the end of it, I was absolutely covered in the stuff, as you will see by the pictures, but still smiling. You will also see that I am particularly muddier than the others this being that they all chose quad bikes with better mud guards leaving me with one with very minimal protection. Every time I went through a puddle the mud just came up over my feet! I even managed to get mud in my mouth, which for reference does not taste good.

I could not have wished for a better day to end my twenties and I can't wait to turn 30 tomorrow and see what adventures my thirties have in store.
